Hi👋🏼 ! My name is Dominique. I'm a Transdisciplinary UX Researcher & Strategist based in New York City.
I'm passionate about solving problems with diverse teams through systems thinking and intentional design. Discovering new frameworks in research has inspired me to blend mixed methods in research. I've learned to hone my skills working with early-stage start-ups in the B2B SaaS space across growth and sales. Versatility across industries like property, financial and, civic technology has enabled me to design robust products and services. My fascination with reciprocal relationships between people's lived experiences and their environments lead me to realize gaps in the market.
Startups are constantly learning about:
I discerned that delivering value begins before products are built and that is where human-centered research and systems design becomes essential. That realization motivated me to pursue a career in user experience design. I like to use my creativity to redesign and call attention to the invisible parts of emergent technology. My recommendations, often include solutions that disrupt power dynamics that encourage stakeholders to empathize with marginalized communities.
As a result of the "new normal" 2020, I enrolled in graduate school to advance my skills and transition into UX Research. At Parsons, I study Transdisciplinary Design and explore the intersections of Design Research, Speculative Design, and Systems Theory. "Delighting the customer" and designing exceptional human-centered products is always a priority when delivering successful outcomes. There is power in empathizing with users and walking in their shoes. I'm ready to be a part of an organization that values the voice of the customer and develops innovative solutions.
